“I” Minus 2004
Alphabet as Art
Dimensions: (58” X 22”) (Total space for the installation)
Materials: Porcelain, glass, metal, graphite and shadows
For this group exhibition artists were asked to create an artwork with a letter. I chose the letter “i” because of my interest in exploring identity issues. I went for the miniscule “i” as the subject was perfect to explore the idea of gravity of matter, so the impossibility for the dot to hold in space in the sculptural version while the projected shadow could be completed by drawing the dot on the wall to complete the image of the letter.
